Biography

Elsie Winifred Mary Miles was born 3 Jan 1899 in Bournemouth, Hampshire, England to Henry Edgar Miles and Winifred Margaret (Jones) Miles. Her birth was registered in Christchurch, Hampshire in the first quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Jones.^[1]

In 1901 Elsie W M Miles (age 2) lived at Henville Road in Bournemouth, Hampshire with her father Henry E (32, Solicitor's Clerk) and mother Winifred M (29).^[2]

In 1911 Elsie Winifred Mary Miles (age 12, School) lived in Bournemouth with her father Henry Edgar (42, Law Clerk), mother Winifred Margaret (39), and brother Victor Henry (9, School).^[3]

Elsie W M Miles married Arthur G Petre in 1925. The marriage was registered in Christchurch in the second quarter of the year.^[4]
