Alastair was born in 1893. He was the son of William Miller and Mary Manning. [1]

He was educated at Beaumont College, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.
Alastair fought in the 1st World War. He gained the rank of Captain in the Irish Guards and he gained the rank of Flight Commander in the Royal Flying Corps. His brother Frederick was killed in action in 1st World War.
He married Kathleen Daisy Howard (daughter of Major Stephen Goodwin Howard) on 16 October 1919 at St George Hanover Square, London.[2]
They had one son.
He and Kathleen were divorced in 1926.
Alastair married, secondly, Margaret May Shotter (daughter of Frederick Shotter) on 1 December 1927 at Pancras, London, England. [3]
They had at least two children.
He and Margaret were divorced in 1933.
His third marriage was to Cynthia Rosemary Huish (daughter of Frederick Edward Huish) on 3 January 1938 at Horsham, Sussex, England.[4]
He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Miller, of Glenlee, Kirkcudbrightshire [G.B., 1788] on 20 December 1948.
He and Cynthia were divorced in 1957.
He passed away in 1964 aged 71.[5]
