Ruth Frances Kuykendall, 93, of Punta Gorda, Fla., died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, in Gaylord, Mich.

She was born Oct. 3, 1912, in Danville, Ill.

Mrs. Kuykendall lived in the Detroit, Mich., and Flint, Mich., areas before moving to Gaylord in the late 1960s. She summered at her home in Lakes of the North in Michigan and wintered in Punta Gorda. Mrs. Kuykendall worked as a seamstress at Fisher Body.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Richard (Cathryn) Counsil of Waters, Mich., Katherine (Stoney) Schram of Mancelona, Mich., David (Nancy) Counsil of Gaylord, Debra (Bill) Hord of Swartz Creek, Mich., and Lillian (John) Benedict of Arizona; great-grandchildren, Christine Johnson, Rachael Derror, Lindsay Counsil, Monica Robbins, Brian Counsil, Travis Robbins, Eric Counsil and Barbara Counsil; and great-great-grandchildren, Alyssa Harvey, Jeremiah and Brooke Johnson, Trace Miller, Tyler and Dillon Watson, Stoney Schram II, Shonda and Josh Schram. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah; her daughters, Frances Kelly and Dorothy Jewell; her grandson, Patrick Jewell; and special friend, Milburn Grief.

Memorial services will be held in the spring of 2006. Burial will take place at Kuykendall Cemetery in Leslie, Ark.
