1st Baronet of Levaton-in-Woodland, Devon.
He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, with a Doctor of Medicine in 1770 and a Bachelor of Divinity in 1778. He was a physician between 1771 and 1779 at Middlesex Hospital, London, England. He held the office of Physician extraordinary to the King's household in 1785 and became a Fellow, Royal Society. The Milman Baronetcy was created for him in 1800. He held the office of Physician in ordinary to the King in 1806 and was the President of the College of Physicians, London between 1811 and 1813.
