—Driver—Milne.—
A very pleasing ceremony took place at the Congregational Church, Bordertown, on April 10, when Phoebe Mary, the eldest daughter of the Rev. D. Milne, sen., was married to Mr. Thomas Driver, of Sunmertown. The ceremony was performed by the bride's father, assisted by the Rev. D. Milne, jun. The bridesmaids were the youngest sister and eldest niece and the groomsmen the youngest brother and eldest nephew of the bride. After the ceremony the happy couple adjourned to the residence of the Rev. D. Milne, where the wedding breakfast had been prepared.
The opportunity was taken by the 15 children of the family to wish their father and mother goodby and godspeed, as they were to leave on a trip to the motherland on the 20th inst. after an absence of about 50 years.
Twelve members of this large family are married, and have 33 children. There are 59 descendants of the Rev. D. and Mrs. Milne, and 43 managed to meet around the old family tree.
Phoebe Mary Driver (widow of Thomas Driver, of Summertown) died on 17 March 1934, aged 80 years, in Uraidla, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.
