Biography

Malcolm Milne was born in 1867, the son of Malcolm and Isabella (Auld) Milne. He married Janet Bain sometime before 1892, and they had at least eight children together. The US Census for 1910 lists Jesse Milne as a widow, with an immigration year of 1907; Malcolm then would not show up on any US census record. Census records in Scotland list his occupation as plumber. Family photos attached to various family trees show Malcolm in military dress as a veteran of the Boer War. Malcolm passed away in 1909 in Pennsylvania, as the result of an accident. He was in a hole in the ground that collapsed around him, and he suffocated under the weight of the soil before he could be rescued. He left his young wife and seven children
