Ernest was born 1898. Ernest was an Anzac , Ernest married Violet in 1921 and they had children , Ernest passed away a little over a year after Violet on 4th September 1950 and is buried alongside her in the Muswellbrook Cemetery.

• MR. ERNEST MILTON.
• The death took place last night at his late residence, Hill Street, of Mr.Ernest Milton, a veteran of World War I". Deceased, who was a formally employee at the Muswellbrook Colliery, had been in ill-health for some time. He was a prominent member of the Victoria Park Cricket Club, and at the formation of the Muswellbrook Cricket Umpires' Association took a keen interest in its welfare, having, officiated at most of the important fixtures in the district. He was predeceased by his wife over 12 months ago. He leaves one daughter and five sons, viz., Valerie-, Victor, William, Kevin, Max and Leslie.
