Biography

Frederick Minty was born in 1828 in Ringwood, Hampshire, England to John Minty and Ann (Holder) Minty - he was christened on 7 Apr 1828 in Ringwood.^[1]

In 1841 Frederick Minty (age 13) lived at Christchurch Street in Ringwood with his father John (30-34), mother Ann (30-34), and four siblings: Dinah (8), Caroline (5), Fanny (3), and Walter (0), as well as relative Mary Minty (30-34).^[2]

In 1851 Frederick Minty (age 23, Cord Wainer) lived at Christchurch St in Ringwood with his grandfather John Minty (76, Pauper/Tanner's Lab) and grandmother Mary Minty (74, Pauper).^[3]

Frederick Minty married Mary Purchase in 1854. The marriage was registered in Ringwood in the second quarter of the year.^[4]

Frederick and Mary had five children:

In 1901 Frederick Minty (age 73, Shoemaker) lived in Ringwood with his daughter Caroline M (29, Housekeeper to Father).^[9]

Frederick Minty passed away in 1904, aged 76 years. His death was registered in Ringwood in the third quarter of the year.^[10]
