Daughter of Frank Miser and Carrie LaRoche.^[1]

Josephine had sisters: Elizabeth V. Miser Ostrom b 1919, Katherine W. Miser Van Buren b 1921 and Helen Miser Griffith b 1923.

Birthdate recorded as 17 Sep 1923 in "A Genealogy of the Meisser Family." Death recorded as 24 May 1985 in this source and place as Monterey Park, California; however, she was hospitalized at Arcadia Methodist Hospital.^[2]

Josephine married James D. Lisle in 1947. They divorced in 1969.^[3] James remarried and had another family.

Josephine resided on First Avenue in Arcadia, California.

Possible source for her husband James Lisle. According to her daughter Jamie Lisle Robe, James Lisle was b 1927 in Brilliant, Jefferson, Ohio. The 1940 Census records a James Lisle in the household of John Lisle in Steubenville, Jefferson, Ohio. Head John Lisle was age 39 b Ohio and was a truck driver; wife Madge Lisle was age 37 b Pennsylvania. Daughter Helen Lisle was age 15 b Ohio. James Lisle was age 13 b Ohio. Donna Lisle was age 10 b Ohio.^[4] As Jerauld Lisle, he was recorded in 1930 at age 3 in East Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio in the household of John D. Lisle with the same mother and siblings.^[5]
