James was the son of Andrew Mitchell and Jewell Wiginton born 18 Sep 1926.^[1][2][3]

He signed up for the draft near the end of WWII on 13 Sep 1944^[4] and enlisted two months later.^[5]

He married Towanna Stewart o 25 Sep 1948.^[6]

James died on 12 Jan 2006,^[7][8]
