Biography

---The cemetery that Aaron and Cechon Mizelle are buried in has been plowed over and there is no sign of it. It was located in the field on the east side of where Bear Grass Road and Cowin Road intersected. ---It is believed that Aaron's grandfather and grandmother were William and Prudance Mizelle but there is no hard proof. Aaron being the son of James Mizelle is documented in a number of deeds where he bought land that was previously owned by his father James Mizelle.

---Aaron served in the War of 1812 with his brother Jessie and Seth.

Aaron and Senson were farmer, their farm being located near Bear Grass Swamp in Bear Grass Township, Martin County, NC. Arron died in 1834 and his land was divided among is children in Martin County Deed Book K page 158 and 159 on 12 January 1835. Aaron is mostly likely buried in Cechon Cemetery (or old Mizelle Cemetery) located in a field on the east side of Bear Grass Road were Cowin Road intersects. The cemetery was commonly know as the Cechon Cemetery but has now been plowed over. They had seven known children.

Sept 1810 Martin County Deed Book E page 185. Aaron Mizelle bought 100 acres of land from Daniel Rawls for 107 pounds and 10 Shillings. The land beginning at King Harrison's corner, Bear Grass Swamp, James Mizelle's line and James Everetts line. September Term 1810.
Sept 1815Martin County Deed Book F page 277. Aaron Mizelle bought 25 acres of land from Jessie Mizelle for 12 pounds, 10 shillings. A parcel of undivided land, formerly belonging to my father James Mizelle, deceased, which I became the owner of as one of the heirs of deceased July 27 1811. September 1815 Term Court.
Sept 1815 Martin County Deed Book F page 275. Aaron Mizelle bought 25 acres of land from Joseph Biggs for 12 pounds. Lying and being on Bear Grass Swamp. A parcel of undivided land formerly the property of James Mizelle, deceased which I purchased of William and Elizabeth Whitaker as heirs of said deceased July 27 1911. September Term Court 1815.
Sept 1815 Martin County Deed Book F page 278. Aaron Mizelle bought 25 acres of land from Caleb and Sally Hessey of Beaufort County, NC., for 25 pounds. A parcel of land undivided on Bear Grass Swamp, formerly property of James Mizelle deceased March 15 1814. September Term County 1815.
June 1818 Martin County Deed Book G page 33 and 34. Aaron Mizelle bought a tract of land from Jessie Rawls for $100 in December 1816. The tract of land beginning at James Bryans corner and line, James Mizelle decease line to the run of Bear Grass Swamp. June Term Court 1818.
12 Jan 1835 Martin County Deed Book K page 158 and 159; the Land of Arron Mizelle was divided amonth his children.
