Michael (not Thomas) Moloney was a farmer according the 1877 marriage certificate of his son Patt Moloney, farmer, of Rahona.[1]
Michael M*lony was 57 (tombstone) or 58 (death certificate) when he died in 1874. The precise date is transcribed from his tombstone as 30 Mar 1874, but is 31 Mar 1874 on his death certificate (Michael Molony, married, 58 years, farmer; Mary Molony of Rahona present at death).
The tombstone reads as follows:[2]
Erected by Mrs. Honor Malony, Rahona in memory of her beloved husband Michael Malony who died March 30th 1874 aged 57 years R.I.P.
