Biography

sabella MONTGOMERY was born in 1727 in Upper Freehold, New Jersey. She married John Reading on November 21, 1746, in New Jersey. They had six children in 10 years. She died on January 9, 1800, in Hunterdon, New Jersey, at the age of 73, and was buried in Ringoes, New Jersey.

After the death of her first husband she became the wife of Henry Bailey, who died in June, 1807.

  2. Charles, born 1753, married Abigail Hunt;
  3. Rebecca, married William Bennett, Jr.;
  4. Montgomery, born April 3, 1758, married Sarah Reid, died March 12, 1815; *# Alexander, born 1759, died December, 1820;
  5. Mary, born 1761, died October 26, 1837.
