When James Washington Moore was born in 1845 in Jackson, Georgia, his father, Edward, was 34 and his mother, Eunisa, was 24. [1] He married Lucinda Catherine Cunningham on September 5, 1873. [2] They had three children during their marriage. He died as a young father on September 5, 1878, in Polo, Arkansas, at the age of 33. [3]
Mr. Moore was a Union Civil War veteran. He served in Company I, 15th Missouri Cavalry from September 3, 1864 to July 1, 1865. [4]
