Biography

Sarah Ann Moore was born at Araluen in about 1873 (based on her reported age at death).^[1] She was the daughter of Peter Moore and Catherine Smyth.

She married William Arnold Aldous in 1893.^[2]

She died at Nowra in 1942,^[3] and was buried in the Catholic portion of the Nowra Cemetery.^[4]

Obituary

Mrs. Sarah Aldous, 69, of Trundle died recently. She was a native of Araluen, and her maiden name was Moore. For some years she had resided in Moruya district, then married Mr. Arnold Aldous and went to Shoalhaven district. She leaves, in addition to her husband, eight daughters and three sons to mourn their loss.^[1]
