Thomas Moran was born about 1783 in Limerick, Limerick, Ireland.His parents are unknown.

Thomas (34) married Bridget Carroll (27) (born in 1790 in Ireland) in 1818 in Limerick. Their children were:

In 1861, Thomas (77) was living with Daniel Moran and John Moran. [1]

Thomas passed away on 6 February 1867 in The Forks, Blackville, Northumberland, New Brunswick Canada, aged about 83.[2]

  • Patsy Hennessy claims that Thomas Moran had 5 or 6 brothers who went to Quebec and Edmondston, NB
  • 1846 Petition 100 acres north side of the southwest branch of the Miramichi Riveri Lot 17. East of lot surveyed for Thomas Moran & west of Lot granted to James Donald, north side fo the southwest branch of the Miramichi River
  • 3 December 1838 Thomas Moran applies for the east half of Lot A, adjacent to his other land, also applied for by James McDermid 21 December 1838. Eventually sold to McDermid
  • Census 1861 Agricultural Schedule
Thomas Moran: 30 acres improved 200 acres unimproved: Cash value of farm $800: Cash value of implement $65.
  • Suncroft parish records start 1805 for baptisms; Monasterevin start 1819. The gap in record for baptisms for the children suggest that the family moved to Monasterevin shortly after the baptism of Mary.
