Biography

Ruth Morgan^[1] was born on 10 August 1760 in Frederick County, Virginia, the youngest of three known childre, all daughters of Henry and Deborah Poole Morgan. Her father, Henry, was 33, and her mother, Deborah, was 31.

In 1783, when she was in her earlier twenties, she married Thomas Crumley in Newberry, South Carolina. Se bore him five known children, including a son whom they named Robert.

On 18 May 1837, when she was seventy-six, she died in Habersham County, Georgia, of unknown causes.
