Chester was born in South Hampton, New Hampshire, the son of Roscoe and Mary (Woodman) Morrill. [1] He was one of 7 siblings living with their parents in South Hampton in 1900. His father worked as a day laborer and they also had one servant living with them.[2]
Chester was admitted to The Hospital Cottages for Children in Baldwinville, Massachusetts, in 1903, when he was 9 years old, with epilepsy. He was a patient for just over 3 years.[3]
He died at the Hospital Cottages in 1906, from "exhaustion of epilepsy". He was 12 years old. He is buried with his parents at the Bartlett Cemetery in Amesbury, Massachusetts.[4][5]
