He was educated in the public schools around Monticello, Maine.
Occupation: Station agent for B A R R in East Dover, Maine; Kinoe Co. as a clerk, then bookkeeper and advanced to manger of the Rockwood Store until his health failed. Later, he was able to return to work as a bookkeper for Ashaland Lumber and then Jackman Lumber. [2]
In 1900. Edward, born Sep 1879, is single and boarding with Reuben Edgerley in Dover, Maine. He's woring as a station agent for the railroad. [4] [2]
Marriage: He married Myrtle Tufts of North Brownville about 1918. [5] [2]
In the 1910 census Edmund (age 32), his wife Mrytle (age 34) and their daughter Eva L Morrill (born about 1908 ) are living in a rented home in Township 1, (adjoining the Taunton & Raynham Academy Grant) in Somerset County, Maine. "He was a great lover or nature, being much Interested In animals, birds and flowers. He was of a very genial disposition, readily making friends." [2]
He had been living in Jackman, Maine prior to moving to back to East Dover, Maine. [1]
Death: Edmund L Morrill died on 25 May 1917 in East Dover, Dover, Maine from chronic pulmonary tuberculosis. He and his family has been living in living in East Dover for about two years. He was survived by his wife, his daugther, his mother. and a sister, Mrs. Mrs (Lena Morrill) B C Dow [1] [2]
Burial: Edmund was mentioned on a memorial in the Pine Tree Cemetery in Brownville Junction, Piscataquis County, Maine, with a death date of 25 May 1917. His wife wife Mryrtal is buried in the same cemetery. Both of their memorial pages include a photographs of the family memerial stone as well as their individual markers which are engraved with ther complete dates of birth and death. Myrtal's is engraved, " Myrtal T wife of E L Morill." [6]
