On February 29, 1860, George MORRIS, son of Edward MORRIS and Sarah BRADLEY was born in Osgoode Township, Carleton County, Canada West.^{[1][2][3][4][5][6]}

On October 8, 1884, George, age 24 years, a bachelor, and Emma Jane COWAN, age 22 years, a spinster, were married in an Anglican ceremony in Metcalfe Village, Osgoode Township, Carleton County. The witnesses were Albert BLAIR of Osgoode Township and Emma’s sister, Esther of March Township. Both George and Emma were residing in Osgoode Township and were Anglican. George was a farmer.^[1]
