Biography
Margaret Maggie MORRISON was born 8 Sep 1848 in Michigan, United States. Margaret Morrison passed away Mar 1922 in Kalkaska, Kalkaska Co., Michigan, United States.
Margaret was the daughter of James Morrison and Dorcas Thompson, both from Ireland. See Bios of her husband James, and also her parents, James and Dorcas.
IN EULOGY. Another pioneer resident has passed away in the person of Mrs. James Greacen, and Kalkaska is again bereaved. She was a woman greatly esteemed by all who knew her, lovable, charitable in her disposition, though not at all ostentatious. Her life was a benediction. She will be greatly missed from all the organizations of which she was an honored member. Though unable to take active part of the work of the Baptist church for the past few years, she yet retained her membership and loyally supported the various interests of the church and often met with the ladies of the Aid society. She belonged also to the Ladies' Relief Corps, the Rebekahs and the Grange, and was ever faithful to the duties and obligations of membership in these societies. At the funeral service held at the home last Saturday afternoon the officiating minister, Rev. N. Skidmore, used his remarks on her favorite scripture passage, the 23rd Psalm, which she often loved to quote as paraphrased by a great hymn writer. In her last sickness it was a source of great comfort and gladness to her. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her for her sterling worth of character and her neverfailing spirit of helpfulness.
