William Wallace Morton was born on 24 Nov 1861 in Farmington, Van Buren, Iowa. He was the son of Greenberry Morton and Caroline Barton. At age 21 William married Carrie Metcalf on 30 Apr 1883 in Valpariso, Saunders, Nebraska
