Biography

William Henry Moses was born in October of 1869 in Nelson County, Virginia. His parents were William Andrew Moses and Margaret Lunsford (Loving) Moses.

In the 1870 census, William (age 8 months) was enumerated with his family in Samuel Miller District, Albemarle, Virginia, United States.^[1]

On 24 Dec 1891, 22 year-old William married 15 year-old Jane E. In the 1900 census, William, recorded as "W.H. Moses" (age 31), Laborer on the Railroad, was enumerated as the married head of household in Lead Mines District, Wythe, Virginia, United States.^[2]

In the 1910 census, William (age 40), Farming on his own farm, was enumerated as the married head of household in Lead Mines, Wythe, Virginia, United States.^[3]

In the 1920 census, William (age 49), farm laborer, was enumerated as the married head of household in Wythe, Virginia, United States.^[4]

A primary source has not been found, but William's Find-A-Grave entry has a photo of his gravestone with a death year of 1924. [primary source still needed to substantiate and give exact date of his death] William was laid to rest in the Foster Falls Cemetery in Foster Falls, Wythe County, Virginia.^[5]
