Biography
Sources disagree on his birthdate. LDS record 32ZQ-2L gives his birthdate as Oct. 14, 1817. The 1883 "History of Marion Co. MO" says fall of 1818. His parents' marriage was recorded in December 1818 in the part of Pike Co. that would become Marion Co.
