Mary (wife of Peter Mousser);Pierre Mourer, wagon-maker, postoffice Chartiers, a son of Nicholas and Anna Mourer, was born in Germany in 1853. He served ten months in the Franco-Prussian war of 1870-71, and came to America in 1872, locating in Pittsburgh. He learned the trade of a wagon-maker, which he has followed since coming to America. Pierre Mourer married, Feb. 19, 1875, Mary, daughter of Jacob and Theresa May, of this county. They have seven children: Mary (died in infancy), Theresa, Jacob, Louis, Annie, Clara and Peter. Mr. Mourer is a member of the Knights of St. George. He and Mrs. Mourer are members of the Catholic Church.
