Biography
Susan Eva Syster, 99, of Valley View Nursing Home, died Monday, February 13, 2012, at Altoona Regional Hospital.
She was born February 20, 1912, in Grass Flat, Clearfield County, daughter of Edward J. and Iva Mae Moyer. She married Harry L. Syster on January 1, 1940.
Mrs. Syster was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg. Susan enjoyed gardening, fishing, and crocheting.
Surviving are a son, Charles E. and wife, Mary, of Hollidaysburg; 3 grandchildren, Linda Schreiber, Timothy Moyer, and William Moyer; 2 great granddaughters, Jennifer Bonsell and Jaclyn Johnson; 3 great-great grandchildren, Gil Johnson, Reese Johnson, and Aaron Bonsell; and a sister, Kathleen Bleich of Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Alvin Moyer, Jacob Moyer, Emory Moyer, Clark Moyer; and 4 sisters, Alverda Wolf, Verva Stapelfeld, Caroline Fultz, and Anna Moyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
