Biography
James was born in Idle, Yorkshire 26 July 1829 & baptised James Murgatroyd, with his brothers John & samuel on 29 June 1837 the son of Benjamin Murgatroyd (delver) & Mary his wife of Idle, in the parish of of Calverley. Date of birth included included in entry. [1]
The marriage of James Murgatroyd & Elizabeth Myers was conducted on 15 August 1853 Calverley, St. Wilfred, Yorkshire. [2]
With wife Elizabeth & sons in 1861 living in Idle Moor, Idle, Yorkshire. He worked as a face stone cutter. [3]
James died in 1866. [4] & buried James Murgatroyd of Idle, 5 December 1866, Idle, Holy Trinity, Yorkshire. [5]
