Biography
Ellen Murphy was born in 1842. She was the daughter of Thomas Murphy and Maryanne Bradley. Ellen married Peter Fairbairn Swaney in 1860. Following the death of her first husband, Ellen married (in 1886) Ambrose Steel. Ellen passed away in 1920 and is buried in the Boroondara (Kew) Cemetery (C/E E 0410).[1][2]
