The Visitation of London 1633 shows Jane Myles to be the daughter of John Myles of Graveley, Hertfordshire.[1]
Jane Myles was born September 14, 1598 at Rampton, Bedfordshire, England, the daughter of John Myles.[2] Never trust a source that gets place names wrong. There's no Rampton in Bedfordshire; the baptism of Jane Myles on 14 Sep 1598 was at
Sutton Courtenay, Berkshire and no father's name was given, so probably the wrong Jane; and the marriage was at Watton at Stone, Hertfordshire! Ansell was a son of William Carter and Mary Anscell.[2]
Family
Jane married July 2, 1618 at Watton at Stone, Hertfordshire, England to Ansell Carter.[3][4]
In 1634 at the visitation of the Heralds from the College of Arms, William had six sons living. They were:[2]
George
John
Ansyle
William
James
Thomas b ca 1630
Jane died in 1660 in London, England. It was probably earlier than this as she isn't mentioned at all in Ansell's 1558 will.
