Biography

Anton Nachtsheim was born about 1635 in Kell, Andernach, Köln, Heiliges Römisches Reich, son of Quirin Nachtsheim ( - 1682) and Maria (Klee) Nachtsheim ( - 1673).^[1]

His siblings were:

• Lucia (Nachtsheim) Schmittz ( - >1688)
• Arnold Nachtsheim ( - 1686)
• Michael Nachtsheim (~1643 - )

Anton Nachtsheim was the pastor in Kell between 1662 and 1719.^[2] In 1662 pastor Anron Nachtsheim, his parents f Quirin Nachtsheim and Maria Kley, as well as his brothers Michael and Arnold donated 40 Reichstaler for the high altar for the induction into his pastorate.^[2] Anton studied for two years in Cologne and ordinated in Cologne in 1662.^[2] Anton was responsible for managing the baptism and burial books in Kell.^[2] Between 1719 and 1724, Anton was the school vicar in Rheinbrohl.^[2]

Anton died on 7 June 1731 in Kell aged ~95 with about 70 years as a pastor.^[2]
