Research Notes

Uncertain if the tombstone in Wisconsin is a cenotaph, or burial. There is a death record for "Erwin Nass", born 1893, died 1918 at West Derby, Lancashire, England. There is a burial record for an "Erwin Nass" listed for the Liverpool Record Office; Liverpool, Merseyside, England; Liverpool Cemetery Registers[2] with a note of exhumation 18 June 1920. As the record indicates that "Late Abode" was "United States Forces", it is logical that this is the death record for him.
