Bernice was born November 25, 1922 in Millville to Jonas Nass and Gladys Olson. Following high school Bernice attended teachers training and taught rural school. On October 1, 1949 Bernice married Donald Wurl. They farmed with his parents until moving to Honey Ridge north of Elba in 1954 to farm.
Bernice enjoyed gardening and weaving rag rugs for friends and family.[1]
