Biography
Native Virginian
Richard was born in 1884. He is the son of Ella Scott and Cleland Nelson. [1] On January 18, 1910 he married Caroline Hardwicke (1885–1957) in New Hanover, North Carolina.[2] His wife passed away in July of 1957.[3] He passed away in June of 1959 at the age of 74[4] in Crewe, Nottoway County, Virginia[5] and is buried there in Crewe Cemetery.[6]
