He came to America departing Liverpool via S.S. Umbria on 27 Apr 1907 arriving in New York on 5 May 1907.[1] The ship manifest lists birth as Rarilz/Marilz, Saratov, Russia. He was bound to brother-in-law Jacob Hermon in Lincoln, Nebraska.[2][3][4]
There is a death record listing birth as 9 Jun 1870 in Kautz, Russia, married to Katharina Schoenemann in 1895, coming to America to Lincoln, Nebraska. Lived in Laurel, Montana and died 3 Sep 1915.[6]
Obituary
Philip Neubauer who resided on the Messersmith ranch northeast of Laurel died Thursday night in the Billings hospital after undergoing an operation. He had been sick for about a month. When he first became ill he went to the hospital and when it was decided he would have to have an operation he refused to undergo the ordeal and came home. He grew worse and when it was too late determined to submit to the surgeons knife and died shortly afterward. He is survived by a wife and four children besides two sisters who reside on the Huntley project. His funeral was held Sunday at the German Congregational Church in this city and burial was made in the Laurel cemetery. There was a large number of fellow countrymen gathered at the church and followed the remains to the burial grounds where interment took place.[7]
