Dorothy Neville was born on Palm Sunday, the 27th of March 1496 from a manuscript in the Ashmolean Museum giving the dates of birth of all Richard Neville, Lord Latimer's children. [1]
Dorothe was borne the xxvijth day of M'che, being palme sonday Ao Dni Ml iiijc iiijxx. xvj.
She was the daughter of Richard Neville, Knight of the Bath and 2nd Lord Latimer of Snape and Anne Stafford.
She married John Dawney after 9 May 1514, when a license was issued to the curate of Well to marry John Dawney par. Snaith, and Dorothy Neville par. Well, in the chapel at Snape.[2]
