  1. ) Page 294, 295; Image 275: In the name of God, Amen. I Samuel Beebe of Southold in the County of Suffolk, and Colony of New York, Yeoman being in perfect Mind and Memory thanks be given to God for it and calling to Remembrance my Mortality knowingI must die and yield myself to the decree of God (Dust thou art and to Dust shall thou return) wheresowith He shall call me hence and willing ?osed my house in order do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following and tirst I recommend my Spirit into the Hands of God that gave it to me and desire that I may be decently buried at the Discretion of my Exectutors hereafter named an my Will is that all my just Debts and funeral Charges be paid by my Executors out of the moveable Estate the Remainder to be disposed of as followeth:
    1. ) Item. I give and bequeth to my youngest Son James and to his heirs and assignes for Ever all that my Land and Meadow lying and being within the Township of Southold aforesaid with all the Buildings Fences Orchards Timber Trees with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging free and clear from any Debts Legacies or other Incumberances whatsoever To have and hold to my said Son James Bebee his heirs and assigns forever. I also give and bequeath unto my son James Bebee my Desk.
  2. ) Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Clark fifty sheep out of my Flock at Plum Island and she to remove or dispose of them within three months after my decease. I also give to her my said Daughter Mary Clark that Feather Bed that I lent to her
  3. ) Item. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Patience Bebee all my neat Cattle and Swine upon Plumb Island and the Oyster Ponds, as also all my Right Title and Interest in and unto the Negro boy called Josiah.
  4. ) Item. I give and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Sarah Newbury one of my feather Beds Bedstead and Furniture belonging to it in the outer room.
  5. ) Item. I give and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Hanah King, Daughter of David King when she shall attain to the age of Twenty one years of day of Marriage which shall first happenall the Household Goods and other things which I lent to her mother in whose hand so ever the may be found.
  6. ) Item. All the rest of my moveable Estate as household Goods of all sorts and Tools of all sorts and also all my Books Deb?? Apparel Money Plate or other moveable Estate whatsoever I do give and bequeath the same to and among my Children this is to say, to my eldest Son Samuel Bebee, to James Bebee, to Elizabeth Nubery, to Mary Clark, to Bathsua King, to Rebeccca Brown, to Patience Bebee, and to Hanah King, Daughter of Hannah King deceased to be equally divided to and amongst them and each of them or to those that shall legally represent them or either of them. And Lastly, I do nominate ordain and appoint my two sons Samuel Bebee and James Bebee together with my Daughter Patience Bebee to be the Executor and Executrix to this my last Will and Testament. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this eighteenth day of November Anno Dom. 1741. Samuel Bebee (JS) The foregoing Instrument was signed sealed pronounced and declared by Sameul Bebee the Subscriber to be his last Will and Testament whereunto he desired us to subscribe as Witnesses, John Patty, Jeremiah Vail, Josiah Glover.
  7. ) On the 6th of July 1742 George Moore, Deputy Secretary of the Probate Court, orders Samuel Bebee, James Bebee and Patience Bebee administrators to provide a true and accurate account of the Estate of Samuel Bebee deceased.
