Biography

Rosannah Logan Newcomb was born in 1807, the daughter of Abraham Newcomb and Ann Dickie of Stewiacke NS[1] [2]

On 5 Mar 1832, she married James Martin Dickie, the son of James Dickie and Martha Martin of Cornwallis, Nova Scotia[1] [2] [3], and their children included:

  1. Martha Ann, born 22 Mar 1840, who married Leonard Elkannah Newcomb,

son of William Newcomb & Sacharissa Terry[1] [2]

  1. Lewis Avery, born on 1 Apr 1846, who married Elizabeth Campbell Chesley[4] [1] [2] [3]
  2. Mary Jane, born in 1847, who married Rufus Robert Ells, the son of Nathan Ells and Esther Chase[5] [1] [2]
