Rosannah Logan Newcomb was born in 1807, the daughter of Abraham Newcomb and Ann Dickie of Stewiacke NS^{[1] [2]}

On 5 Mar 1832, she married James Martin Dickie, the son of James Dickie and Martha Martin of Cornwallis, Nova Scotia^{[1] [2] [3]}, and their children included:

1. Martha Ann, born 22 Mar 1840, who married Leonard Elkannah Newcomb,

son of William Newcomb & Sacharissa Terry^{[1] [2]}
