From Chester's grandfather's bio: Joshua Newell came to Whitingham in 1790, and after a residence of two years

on road 50, in the east part of the town, and of one year on road 41, he located on road 46, on the farm now owned

and occupied by his grandson, Chester B Newell, where he resided till his death. His[Joshua] children were Frank,
