Biography

When John Jackson Nichol was born on November 25, 1843, in Hamden, New York, his father, James, was 30 and his mother, Elspeth, was 23. He married Arbie Elizabeth Garrett on May 24, 1883, in Wilber, Nebraska. They had five children in 12 years. He died on October 20, 1938, in Nashua, Iowa, at the age of 94, and was buried there.
