In 1871, Mary Causer (29, an ivory polsher) and her husband, John Causer (27, a file cutter) were living at 8 bk 14, Guildford Street, St George District, Birmingham with their children, Emma (4), John (3) and Edward H (3 months). All of the family were born in Birmingham. [3]

Mary and John Causer emigrated to New Zealand.

Mary Causer died on 16 Nov 1883 and was buried at Maungaturoto Congregational Church Cemetery, Maungaturoto, Northland, New Zealand. [4]
