According to a descendant, her purported father Ephriam died in 1896, which would be too long before the birth of Nellie for him to be her father. "Ephriam's son Robert (by his first wife) filed for his probate in 1897, listed as Ephriam passing away June 6, 1896. In Ephriam's profile under pictures this can be found. This was in Carroll County, GA I believe because there was still part of Ephriam's father's estate that had not completely been settled. There's a masonic lodge record of the same date as well as a Randolph County death register. I believe there is also a newspaper article from the same year. "
Further, he states that DNA tests show Nellie has a strong connection to her mother's lineage, but none is found for her connection to Ephriam's lineage.
