Biography

James Norcott was born about 1740. He was the son of Hugh Norcott, of Springfield, Buttevant, County Cork and Anne Godsell.^[1]

In 1766, he married Jane Roberts.^[1]

James and Jane had three sons and three daughters:^[1]

2. James Norcott m Dorcas Bousfield Creagh
3. Dr John Norcott m Mary, daughter of John Gabbett Spiers

He was of Springfield in Buttevant, and of Ballybeg.^[1] James died on 1 September 1792.^[1]
