Robert William Norris, son of Richard Norris and Ellen Banister, ^[1][2] was born in about February 1849 in Leyland, Lancashire. ^[1][3] He was baptised on 8 April 1849 at St. Andrew, Leyland, Lancashire. ^[2] He married Mary Ann Cuerdon on 10 December 1870 in Leyland, Lancashire. ^[4]
