Jane Augusta Norton was born in 1828 at the Colony of New South Wales (Australia). She was the eldest daughter of solicitor and landowner, James Norton, Esq., of Elswick and Jane unknown.[1] James Norton formed the first law firm in Sydney. The main street in Leichhardt, Norton Street, is named after him.
Jane was an artist.
She married Reverend Charles Priddle on 25th February 1851 in St John the Baptist Church of England (Anglican Church), Ashfield, New South Wales.[2] Charles was appointed rector at St Luke's Church of England, Liverpool in 1855, remaining there until he retired in 1894.
She passed away on 13th November 1883 at Liverpool, New South Wales.[3]
