Mrs. Matilda Post [sic] Answers The Last Call
After an illness of several months, Mrs. Matilda Post was called in death late last Friday evening.
Mrs. Matilda Post was born in Manvers, Canada on March 10, 1847 and ended her earthly pilgrimage at Loup City, Nebr., on June 8, 1928, having reached the age of 81 years, 2 months and 28 days.
She came to the United States in 1880 and has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Brill in Loup City, Nebr., for the past ten years.
Ill health has confined her to the home for a number of years until God released the bonds and now she is free from bodily infirmities in her happy home with the Lord.
Her husband answered the last call nineteen years ago.
Five children mourn the loss of Mother. Harry and Edward of Omaha; Florence of New York City, May of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Brill of Loup City, Nebr.
She followed the religious training of her youth, coming from a family of ten whose interests with guided into the spiritual realm. The late Bishop Nugent was a brother of the deceased.
She gave her heart to the Lord in full surrender in childhood and her last testimony was that it is better all the time.
Her church membership has been transferred from the Fifth Avenue M. E. Church of Council Bluffs to the church Triumphant.
Many relatives and friends join in paying tribute to the memory of one who has filled a worth while place in life.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. A. J. Meierhoff from the Brill home, June Eleventh. Burial in Evergreen cemetery.
