My grandfather has 180 akers in Putnam Co. W.v. my sisters and brothers would go up on the hill and not take me. I was 6 years old. My grandfather ask me if the others ran off and left me. I said yes. He was setting in the rocker and I climb on his lap put my arms around him and told him that I loved him. He told me to jump down,I ask if I was getting a whippen, he said no,so I ask if I has said something wrong,he said no I said everything right.that he wanted to show me something.he had saved coins for every one of his grandkids in a jar,he but change in mine and said if anything ever happened to me,you make sure you get this jar.and if there were anymore grandkids they would be out of luck because he wouldn't be around .i ask my grandfather where he was going.he said he might not be on this earth much longer. As a child of 6 years old I didn't know what he was talking about,so I ask if I can go with him,he said I was to young and had my whole life in head of me.that I couldn't go at this time. I let it go. As I got older and my grandfather Null had died at the hospital.we never got the money he had left us. My grandfather never told anyone about the money except my sister and I. No one else. So my aunt took the money. I have his memory's that's all that matters to me. I loved them very much.
