The census of 31 Mar 1901 records the family in Loughanure: Barney, 34, wife Mary, 28, and their daughter Mary, 4 months old.[2]
Mary became ill in November 1904 and died in Loughanure fourteen days later on 09 Dec 1904, aged four.[3] Her mother Mary went to Dungloe on New Year's Eve to register little Mary's death.[3]
