Biography

William Thomas "Bud" Oakes, son of William T. Oakes and Ella (Johnson) Oakes, was born 6 Dec. 1926 at Alameda County, California.[1][2][3]

He appeared on the census of 22 April 1930 in the home of his parents at Clay Township, Dunklin County, Missouri.[4]

He married Dorothy Ann Gross, daughter of Frederick W. Gross, on 28 Nov. 1952 at Los Angeles County, California.[1]

William died on 21 Aug. 1987 at Alameda County, California[2] and was buried at Lone Tree Cemetery, Hayward, Alameda County, California. A photo of his headstone shared with Dorothy is available.[5]
