Biography
Robert was born about 1773 to William Oates and Jean Sloan.
He married Nancy Carruth.
He married Lillis White in 1816. A marriage bond was signed on 20 November 1816 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. [1][2]
He passed away in 1846 and was buried in Long Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Bessemer City, North Carolina.
