CENSUS INFORMATION: In the 1861 to 1881 UK Censuses, she was living with her family in Ireland.
In the 1900 US Census of Precinct 3 of Denver City, Arapahoe County, Colorado, she is listed as Frances E Argall, aged 43 (born in England in Oct 1856) living with her husband and six children in Humbolt Street, Denver. She immigrated in 1888. (ARAPAHOE > 8-WD DENVER Series: T623 Roll: 118 Page: 264). (Supervisors District 24, Enumeration District 58, Sheet 6B).
GENERAL NOTES: Sometimes known as Fanny.
BIRTH: Her birth is recorded in the GRO indexes for the Redruth Registration District in the December quarter of 1856 under reference 5c 296. She is listed as Frances Ellen Oates.
MARRIAGE: Marriage is recorded in the Rathdrum Registration Distict of Co. Wicklow, Ireland, in 1876. (Film No. 101252, Vol. 12, Page 861, Image No. 00593).
The marriage record shows her father as George OATES and mother as Elizabeth OATES.
MIGRATION: She is recorded in the New York Passenger Lists 1851-1891 as Francis E Argall sailing on the SERVIA from Liverpool and Queenstown in Ireland arriving in New York on 31 October 1887. She is aged 28 and coming from England.
She is also recorded in the New York Passenger Lists 1851-1891 as Mrs Philip Argall sailing on the CITY OF NEW YORK from Liverpool England arriving in New York on 9 April 1891. She is aged 37 and coming (i.e. originating) from the USA.
